A PURCHASE AND REGISTRATION OF A CAR

- An application form of registration of a vehicle;;
- A document, which proofs the personality of a foreigner: passport and evidence of a temporary residential registration (a foreigner should live in Poland on a legal basis);
- Evidence of property rights for a vehicle: buy and sell agreement, agreement of exchange, gift contract, an invoice, legally effective court decision for property rights;
- A passport of a vehicle;
- Registration symbols of a car;
- Payment receipt for registration.
You should provide only original documents for registration of your vehicle. The documents, which are in foreign languages should be translated and notarized by a certified translator.
Payment methods during a car purchase:
- While car purchase, a private person should pay taxes in amount of 2% from the cost of a vehicle. The payment takes place in Urzędzie Skarbowym. During a purchase of a car in a firm, the tax is not to be paid;
- The cost of change the signs of the car is about 100 PLN;
- Passing a technical checkup costs from 75 PLN;
- The price of Legalization label kit is 12,50 PLN;
- A control label for a windscreen costs 18,50 PLN;
- A passport of a technical facility is 54 PLN;
- Payment for vehicle registration, a control label, auto tag – 0,5 PLN.
During the temporary registration, you have no rights to cross the border of European Union.
Car insurance should be registered within 30 days after a purchase. The prices for insurances are not always the same. It depends a lot on the inhabited area, where the car is registered and from the age of vehicle.
